EDUCATION  

Texarkana has a branch campus of Texas A&M University, which is accredited as an institution of higher learning by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and offers 18 baccalaureate programs and nine graduate programs. For those just beginning or for those starting over, Texarkana College, located on an adjoining campus, offers undergraduate programs and continuing education courses. Ninety-seven (97) percent of the faculty hold a doctoral degree in their field of instruction, with a teacher to student ratio of 1 to 19.
