The Lone Star industrial facility (Army Ammunition Plant) welcomes private sector industry. Under the Army's Armament, Retooling, and Manufacturing Support Program (ARMS), we offer our manufacturing expertise, facilities, and personnel to industry around the world.

Although Lone Star is known historically for its munitions manufacturing capabilities, we also have the resources to partner with private sector in several ways:

· Our experience allows us to offer custom-manufactured commercial explosives, mining supplies and chemicals as well as demilitarization services. Through our work with the United States Government, we have developed capabilities in these areas that are second to none.

· We have buildings, equipment, and a workforce available that enables us to perform manufacturing, assembly, or subassembly operations.

· We have facilities that can be leased for storage, administrative, or warehouse/distribution purposes.

Lone Star has earned ISO 9001:2000 registration and is committed to a philosophy of continuous improvement. We have broad capabilities including engineering, production, machining, purchasing, and project management. Our infrastructure is well developed, and we can offer complete support services to businesses that wish to establish their operations at Lone Star AAP.

Lone Star is located in Texarkana, Texas, about 185 miles from Dallas, and is fully accessible by air, rail, and road. Because of our geographic location, we are poised to take full advantage of manufacturing and distribution opportunities made available by the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA).
